About NCERT Deck
NCERT Deck is a study resource for NCERT textbooks and solutions, covering Class 1 through Class 12. It exists to make one thing simple: finding the right chapter, in the right edition, quickly — and reading a clear, correctly rendered solution once you get there. NCERT Deck is a project under Scholar Donkey.
Why NCERT Deck exists
Anyone who has searched for an NCERT chapter online knows the usual experience: a dozen tabs, half of them showing the wrong edition, several linking to blurry scanned PDFs, and at least one page more interested in ad placements than in the actual question you asked. NCERT Deck was built to fix that specific, everyday frustration — one place, organised by class and subject the way a student actually thinks about it, where the textbook and its solution sit next to each other and the edition is never in doubt.
What you'll find here
- NCERT Books — organised by class, subject and edition, with chapter-level pages and PDF access where available.
- NCERT Solutions — exercise-by-exercise answers with formulas, chemical equations, diagrams, tables and images rendered directly on the page, not scanned into an image.
- New and Old NCERT, kept separate — a chapter from one edition is never mixed into the other.
How new and old NCERT are handled
“New NCERT” refers to the edition currently prescribed for a class and subject. “Old NCERT” refers to an edition that has since been revised, which some students, teachers and coaching programmes still reference. Where an old chapter has a clear equivalent in the new edition (or vice versa), NCERT Deck links between them; it never merges the two. This distinction matters more than it might seem — exercise numbering, worked examples and even chapter order can shift between editions, so a solution written against the wrong one can quietly mislead a student during revision.
Our approach to accuracy
Every solution on NCERT Deck is written exercise-by-exercise against the specific textbook edition it's published under, rather than adapted from a generic answer key. Formulas, chemical equations and diagrams are built as structured content — real text and vector graphics — instead of screenshots, partly for clarity and partly because it forces each one to be checked rather than copied. Pages for subjects that haven't been written yet are marked clearly as "coming soon" rather than left as broken links, so you always know whether you're looking at finished content or a placeholder.
Built to work everywhere
NCERT Deck is designed to work as well on a shared family phone during evening homework as it does on a laptop in a classroom. There's no account to create, no app to install, and no paywall between you and a chapter — search, browse by class, or follow a direct link, and the page should load fast and read cleanly at whatever screen size you're on.
Official NCERT resources vs. NCERT Deck content
NCERT Deck is an independent website and is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by NCERT. Where a book or PDF genuinely comes from an official NCERT source, it is labelled “Official NCERT Source.” Everything else — explanations, worked solutions, and any third-party file — is labelled accordingly so the source is never ambiguous.
